Inline Discussions

You can start discussion threads directly on specific passages within Smart Documents. Each thread tracks comments from all participants and can be marked as resolved when the conversation concludes. This keeps feedback localized to the exact clause or section it relates to.

Working with External Parties

External collaborators (such as clients or co-counsel) access the same platform but with role-restricted permissions. An Observer on an Engagement sees only the documents and data explicitly shared with them. They never see your firm's internal strategy notes, other Engagements, or firm-wide settings. Permissions are controlled through the Access Nexus.

At the Routine level, external parties can be assigned specific access — for example, a counterparty might receive Signer access on a single Block to view and sign a specific document without seeing anything else in the matter.
